The textile
The Tote Bag and Sleeve are a testament to BYBORRE's cutting-edge expertise in textiles. Specializing in high-tech knitted textiles, BYBORRE combines traditional techniques with advanced technologies.
Designed with sustainability in mind, this textile is made from 72% recycled polyester sourced from post-consumption plastic bottles collected in Italy. Through a meticulous mechanical process, the bottles are transformed into a polymer, without the use of harmful chemicals that could impact the environment. The remaining 28% consists of polyester fill, creating a balanced composition.

These exclusive Mac sunglasses mirror the look of the 3D knitting of the textile. To achieve a similar 3D look and structure from the textile into the frame, we have used layered acetate that has been CNC cut into a pattern to show all three layers. The acetate structure consists of a black bottom layer, a middle layer in grey and a top layer in black with a matte sand-blasting finish.
The frames are made from bio acetate. Bio acetate is produced using bio-based plasticisers, made from renewable sources instead of oil-based ones.
