Declaring a climate emergency

We want to positively contribute to the world we live in and we believe that actions speak louder than words.

That’s why we’re declaring a climate emergency, as it will drive us to create meaningful change. By 2021, we’ll develop our climate emergency action plan — the following steps are the starting point of our journey:

We will be carbon neutral by 2030.

We will limit our contribution to global heating by innovating where we can. For now, we are offsetting what we cannot reduce.

We care about people.

We recognise that the planet and its people are inherently interconnected, which is why we will do our part to protect the environments we operate in and those living in them.

Our Code of Conduct ensures that the people who work in our supply chain are treated fairly, in safe and efficient environments — from our lens supplier in Amsterdam to our manufacturers in China. Read it in full.

We are transparent.

We have always been open about our responsibility efforts and we’re not about to close up. We will continue to take you with us every step of the way.

Head over to our Impact page to get into the nitty gritty of where we’re winning and what we still have to work on.

We aren’t stopping here.

We know that this statement is largely symbolic, which is why we are building an action plan to reach our goals within the next six months.
