Glasses Care Guide
Your glasses are your most trusted everyday companions. We take care of their high quality, but there are small things you can do everyday to make sure they maintain it and last you for a long time.
Here’s our guide to caring for your favourite frames, easily and with a reduced environmental impact.

Use a microfiber
Your glasses come with a microfibre cloth to keep your lenses clean. Avoid wiping them on things like your t-shirt or paper towel as that can cause scratching. Wash your lens cloth regularly in warm, soapy water. A dirty cloth = dirty lenses.
Get a cleaning kit
We also recommend getting our trustee cleaning kit for the full experience. You can refill the bottle for free in our stores to prevent waste. The climate impact for one cleaning is three times lower than when using warm water and soap.

Keep your frames
in a protective case
We know you’re always on the go, so it might be tempting to just throw your glasses in the bag with no protection. That’s a recipe for disaster. Prevent scratches and damage and keep your frames in their case.

Don’t replace - adjust
If you feel like your frames no longer fit like they used to, don’t worry. Bring them to any of our stores and we will adjust them for you. No need to let good glasses go to waste. Our glasses are coated with a protective layer, but over time they will probably scratch. That’s normal. If it impairs your vision, it’s time to get your glasses reglazed.
Good to know
Don’t leave your glasses lying around in extreme heat or sun as they might deform. What’s more, sunscreen and sweat can stain your acetate glasses. Clean the temples and frame with a cleaning cloth, or drop by your nearest store to freshen up your glasses with an ultrasonic cleaning device. We can also replace your discoloured nose pads with shiny new ones.
Also, we don’t know who needs to hear this, but your glasses are not a headband (no matter how good they might look as one). Wearing them on your head can stretch their hinges and literally bend them out of shape.
